It’s been over a year since this pandemic began and the quarantine lockdown.

What can I say... the toughest part is the OL is out of work. Everyday I hear her anxieties of not making money. It’s driving me nuts.
With it came the lost of our health insurance. I thought it would be easy for me to get Medicare but it’s not. What good is Medicare without Medicare Part B.

I managed to begin collecting social security. An eight bills drop in the hat. But helpful nevertheless.
I’ve been spending my time hustling for food.
I have been attending senior lunches. No dine in’s. Just get take out boxes. Kimochi, centro Latino, Martinde porras, Bayview. I’ve been going to the food pantry twice a week too. It all helps in these tough times.

The line at Kimochi

The line at Bayview.

The line at St. Andrew food pantry.

I discovered this drawing program where I could color and paint on my iPhone.
This was a year ago at Red’s. It was the night before the lockdown. Singing karaoke. Little did I know the lockdown would last for more than a year. I’ve been singing karaoke to YouTube karaoke vids. I must say it’s very therapeutic in these crazy times.
I wanna get a microphone, sound mixer and a speaker. But been procrastinating because of tight finances.

Got my Covid vaccination. Hope I did the right thing.

There’s DC getting his dinner at Porkchop House.

Dear old friend and fellow photographer, Jerry “Van” Jew, passed away. We photographed a lot of “classical” images of Chinatown. Unfortunately all his negatives were given away. He died of a terminal illness I was unaware of. Rest In Peace brother.

Dear old friend and fellow photographer, Corky Lee, has passed away. From Covid. Really saddened. We did a two man photo exhibit at the Chinese cultural center back in 1981. We met every year at the Golden Spike anniversary in Utah for the last six years. Will really miss him. Rest In Peace brother.

With all this anti Asian violence going on. I best take my large walking stick with me.
