- My Original Recipes: Boiled Beef--5lbs of chuck beef (only when it's on sale), one whole onion chopped, water, vinegar, salt, bay leaves. Saute cube cut beef in pot till brown. Add chopped onion, till slightly brown, add water, add bay leaves. bring to boil, simmer. Add salt. A little dark soy. Simmer for about an hour.
